Hello there to the silence

That was once occupied by your presence

Hello there to the emptiness

That was once filled with naughtiness

I whisper words now

To a place that was once my solace

You said I was your favourite

But I was a dumping site

Your getaway arena

Just a space you could visit at your convenience

Act out without consequence

With your bad behaviour on sequence

But I am human

And will be till I return to dust

That red liquid flows through me

Like you my bones are clothed with flesh

I am a person

Why would you put me in a prison

Chains, shackles and darkness

Soot covering the shine of my skin

With ugly bleeding scars on my shin

Physically trapped

Mentally cornered

I can't think far enough for an escape

Cause at the peak of my thought

You appear with loads of trash

Ready to dump again

Tasking me with sorting and solving

I forget mine to deal with yours

You tell me I couldn't possibly have problems

After all I am in a cell

What issues could a jail bird possibly have

What could be more important than you

The one holding the key to my freedom

I think your audacity is worrying

Your temerity an element of concern

You really think I can't get out

That I'll remain here

Stay within this blackened walls

Chatting with the low fire burning briskly

Spreading smoke to every corner

You really think I can't break out

That I'll sit in this room

With its rusting iron gate

Crooked burglary and Broken light bulbs

That I'll be stuck in this gloom

Leaving you to direct the doom

But I guess we'll just have to see

Whose ashes would be left behind

When it all burns down.
