This night was annoying for me. No amount of music could lift the burdens I chose to dwell on. Quietly driving into the filling station, the world’s problems began to fall upon my shoulders.

I felt heavy, weak, and unnecessary. At that point, I hated everything. I hated that I was angry; I hated that I let the anger get to me.

Getting closer to the fuel pump, I spotted a little girl standing next to her dad. Moving to music, she barely understood. Smiling at people she didn’t know. Gracing our presence with her little toes. She danced irregularly to the songs played above her. Making it clear to me that she didn’t care.

I stared at her till I caught her attention, hoping she’d stop or panic. She paused, looked at me, and continued to dance. Raising her hands above her head, she smiled and waved to all who passed her.

The thought of her inability to understand what life truly meant crossed my mind. But in reality, on a day, I chose to be burdened. This little girl chose to dance.
