Forever Etched In Mind

On August 15, 2015, a Sunday, I woke up with no intention of attending church. As a Lagos hustler, making money was my priority. After cleaning my apartment and washing my clothes, I prepared a simple breakfast of fried plantains and tea. As I surfed the internet for online job opportunities, a message from a girl I had been trying to woo popped up. She said she would visit after church.

I quickly tidied up my room, moved the plastic chair outside, and dressed up. I went to the main road to buy noodles and other essentials for my guest. I also stopped by a chemist to purchase a pack of condoms, thinking, "No relationship, just a casual encounter!"

As I cooked the noodles using my special recipe, I heard a knock on the door. I fixed my clothes, hair, and sprayed perfume before opening the door to reveal my guest, dressed seductively and smiling. We chatted, and she gave me the green light, so I served her noodles and fried eggs. After eating, she washed the dishes and sat close to me, initiating intimate contact. We kissed passionately, but suddenly she went still and unresponsive. I panicked, thinking the worst.

Luckily, my neighbor, a doctor, knocked on the door, and I opened up to her about the situation. She helped revive the girl, who had fainted due to high blood pressure. After the incident, I decided to attend church every Sunday to avoid temptations and stopped inviting female friends

over.
