DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

It had been five years since we all went our separate ways. Lucky, now married, had moved abroad and started a family - his wife had just given birth to their third child. Johnny, too, had left the country, landing a job at a prestigious company, although he wasn't married yet. I missed him dearly; it had been a while since we last spoke.

Ben, on the other hand, had become a renowned fashion designer, patronized by A-list celebrities. Although we had lost touch since he left, I still kept up with his achievements and felt proud of the man he had become. Williams had also tied the knot and was working for a production company in Abuja, where he was raising his family - he already had four kids, with another on the way!

As for me, I was the last one standing, still unmarried but proud of my accomplishments. I had made significant progress with my writing and was now a bestselling author, with my own company to boot. Yet, despite all my success, I couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness. I missed my friends, the laughter we shared, and the memories we created together.

Every morning, as I sipped my coffee, I reminisced about our past. I missed the days when we would sit together, sharing meals and dreams, supporting each other through thick and thin. I longed for those carefree days when we would talk for hours, laughing and joking, our problems seeming insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

But life had moved on, and wishes rarely came true. I knew I had to keep living in the present, cherishing the memories of our past and holding onto the hope that someday, we would reunite, and the days of our future past would come alive once more.

With a sigh, I set my cup down, my eyes lingering on the photo of our group, taken so many years ago. I smiled, knowing that no matter where life took us, our bond would remain unbroken.
