As I lay in bed, my eyes fixed on the ceiling, my mind began to wander. I thought about my younger self and how wonderful it was to be that person - friendly, smart, lively, and innocent.

To my younger self, I am grateful for being you and for creating such wonderful memories. These memories have helped me navigate every challenge and survive.

Dear younger self, although you didn't achieve much, you inspired many kids around you. I'm thankful for that. My older self can boast of doing the things you did. I can only imagine your fears and the silent tears you shed, but I truly admire your courage to stand tall after everything.

You lost a part of yourself, but you didn't let that stop you from achieving your goals. It's truly admirable and inspiring that you faced everything without letting your fears hold you back.

If I could turn back the hands of time, I would want to be you all over again and do even greater things. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would let you know how much I appreciate you and how much you're loved.

We would make more good memories and explore more of the fantasies of childhood, if only I could turn back the hands of time. Sadly, I cannot, so I'll leave this piece for you, dear younger self.
