In a quiet town,

The stray dogs are all asleep

I walk my sister Home

I haven't achieved enough-

Father says he's proud

Kissed, when we were 5.

you get married tomorrow-

Sadly, not to me.

off to see the world,

Fame found me somewhere afar-

Gained much, but a Home

Rain falls heavily,

just finished from a burial-

Father is now Home.

Where is Home, I write,

Home is wherever I live-

Home can be Netflix,

Home can be a long good sleep-

Home can be a kiss

an old man once asked,

How many paths can lead Home?-

Just one. A good heart.

Mother puts food on fire,

I have returned like the prodigal-

Tears mix with thick soup.
