death||DEATH.
I look at the first one and I see how we so dread it and cry over the ones we have lost to it.
We all want to live. Having the flesh and bones, good health and a stable body.
We face a death scare, could be a reckless driving, sickness or anything at all and we are so relieved and thankful that we are saved and alive.
‘Oga, abeg drive small small. I no wan die Abeg’ is what you might hear yourself say to a one driving a vehicle you are in recklessly.
But.
I see a DEATH - a one you cannot be awaken from. a one with no turning back the hands of time.
‘Lazarus come out’ Jesus called out and the dead Lazarus comes back to life.
‘Little girl TALITHA CUM’ Jesus speaks to the dead little girl and she is awakened.
Lazarus? Little girl? dead? - yes.
Awakened? -yes. Why?- for His Glory.
Then what DEATH is my heart on then?
The one where you live without Christ.
The DEATH where you cannot come back from because the Life was given freely, but you did not receive. The DEATH He has swallowed up and Paul asks where is your stink? The one He looked down and was merciful to come and save us from.
The DEATH you don’t see and so possibly you don’t weep and mourn over but it’s there and so real.
The death where there’s no TALITHA CUM because He already became the resurrection and the Life for you but you didn’t rise up when He called out.
This DEATH is wicked but it’s the one we’ve overcome in Him.
It allows you live physically with a good flesh but a Dead man inside and so who cares about the inside? I’m alive yes? But no, Life is Him so you aren’t.
‘I am the way, the truth and the Life’.
The Death that has been swallowed up in Victory is the one He doesn’t want you to be in, not the one with your eyes closed and heart shut.
