Accidentally knocked up is a story of a young lady named Ose who was born into an unusual family.

An illegitimate child with a distant father and a wicked mother.

Her father and mother are married to different people so she has two separate step families.

One would think this would mean lots of love but no, Ose saw shege in the hands of her stepfamily as a young girl. Her stepmother and stepfather were an exception. They cared for Ose in the way they could. Ose lived with her father until her stepmother died, then she lived with her aunt ( her mother's sister) until she travelled abroad to stay with her mum and would later come back to her aunt's after the shege got too much.

Ose in every phase of her life was a resilient young lady. She wanted the best for herself and saw the good in every situation even when she was at a disadvantage.

When things got worse for her while she was staying with her mother, she would work overtime because she believed that she would be saved once she had enough money.

Ose's mother is really definition of a witch. This woman cared about no one but herself.

Down to her love life, Ose had her first boyfriend Pharoah while  she was living with her aunt before she left for London. She met him during summer lessons. And it was a very sweet relationship, the type that had her peers jealous. They continued to be in a relationship until she travelled abroad. It resumed when she came back. While Ose was abroad, she reconciled with her step siblings from her father's side and they were really helpful in saving her from her mother's claws.

Ose came back to Nigeria, ready to go to uni and experience all the good things uni had to offer.

As a brilliant babe, she had no issues getting into a good school. But there was a problem. Her boyfriend.

Pharoah was moving like an asshole and irritant when she got back.

E remain small make i enter the book wipe am chord.

This nigga was just stressing my babe.

He would raise brows at everything, he would question and doubt everything Ose did. He was basically useless. Just because she had gotten admission and he hadn't. He was jealous and was acting like loser.

Ose moved on from him and dated another guy.

Kese.

If there is anything for red flags. This kese character should be a banner. A blaring siren!!.

Kese and Ose were involved but only Ose was loyal to Kese. It was so horrible because my girl didn't let go of him.

He would disrespect her to her face. There was a time Kese cheated on Ose and he escorted her and other girl to their hostels.

Ose loved him so much, if not too much.

Her one-sided love affected her studies. She later graduated with an average grade. Thank God for good family and connections. She left Kese behind and travelled for her masters.

She decided to be serious with her studies. No distractions.

She dated a guy once but the larger part of their relationship happened online so when she would later meet him. She was appalled at his ugliness and decided to find a way to cope, so she used his laptop to browse how to handle it.  She broke up with him because he hit her so bad after finding her search history of "how to date an ugly man". So she ran.

When my girl was almost done with masters she met kese again.

At this point i wish something would happen to him and it would take him far away from her.

I was agitated. That nigga only brought nothing but disgrace to Ose in Uni.

She dated him as his official girlfriend. She came back to Nigeria after her masters so she could be with him.

She got a very good job with a good company.

Her family loved kese and everyone was warming up to the idea of the two of them together.

Asee this silly guy did not change. So on his birthday, where she was acting like a wife, serving everybody as per our wife.

It happened again. He had cheated again. He was cuddling up to another woman.  Right in front of his family members and friends.  he broke it up with her.

Heeii. Omo. That kind disgrace. Person wey don fuck up before.

(I did not judge Ose at all because we have all had that moment where we would call ourselves stupid but we were just being humans)

So she left and said never again with kese.

So later on, at her workplace, she met a man named chuba and the two of would resume a very sweet celibate relationship.

Her sisters and friends doubted his thing was working. I doubted it too.

Ose became a very devoted christian.

Their relationship together with their relationship with God was so strong until the evil wind blew.

Apparently Chuba had been engaged before getting into a relationship with Ose. The whole news spread throughout the office.

It took Ose back to the way things were in school with kese.  She was really heartbroken because she was really devoted to chuba so she went to the bar to get drunk and forget her worries. Then she met kese.

I know I screamed at this point becausee WHY?? WHAT IS HE DOING HERE???? WHY IS HE HEREE??

So they had a one night stand.

At this point i was like. Jesusss.

(I didnt know i was going to be whispering more Jesus in future. )

After the one night stand. Ose finds out that apparently, Chuba had broken off the engagement with that lady but she had not taken the hint. Ghenghen. So after a few weeks she finds out that she's pregnant and she and Chuba had never done it. It was a no brainer. It was kese's.

Immediately she said she was going to abort the pregnancy. Nothing was going to ruin her sweet relationship with chuba and I was in full support.

Then she thought of her situation with her dad and mum. Wondering if she would be existing if she was aborted.

(I whispered desperately, I was like baby no you wouldnt, you wouldnt be here to be grateful or resentful for anything) She decided to keep the baby and I understood her reason.

(At this point i should have taken paracetamol in preparation for the rollercoaster this book was going to make me feel but i marched on.)

She kept the baby, informed her sisters of the new development. It took a while before she informed chuba but she did and they seperated. This was a really hard period on them because they work together.

Her sister's were really in support. She also decided that she would never tell Kese about the baby and i was in support. It was like inviting the cankerworm into your life.

Chuba decided he wanted to stay with Ose even with her being pregnant for someone else.

He was so supportive, even advised her to tell the father about it. Even one if her sisters Ereme was hammering on it.  Ose refused.

Then Kese found out. (At this point, i dropped my phone and walked to the nearest wall and placed my head on it before I went back to the book.)

All hell broke loose.

This boy decided he wanted to do right by Ose all of a sudden. He wanted to marry her.

After all he has done!.

I was scared because i knew that if Ose agreed, he was never going to treat her well.

And she was happy with chuba. But Kese was persistent.

Kese went along with his family members to Ose aunt house, for introduction. Hmm. Thats how half of Ose's family was pressuring her to marry kese since he was the father of her unborn child. Chuba was so understanding.

Their relationship was also strained.

Kese kept acting like a local devil's spawn. Following them for doctor's appointment and acting like a nuisance.

Im so grateful to the author for giving Ose the autonomy and independence to make decisions concerning her baby.

Family pressure was there but Ose stood on her decision to be with Chuba.

There will be more back and forth and later on in the book. More enlightenment and twists.

I had a pounding headache when i was done with this book. I felt i had just gone through a hurricane experience.

This is no light read.

This book was a very chaotic read. A war zone.

Its a 7/10 for me.
