You are here to read and know why you shouldn't shut up! You have been taught to keep your lips sealed, your plans shut and your aims hidden but I preach the gospel of the opposite here.

The saying "a closed lip is a closed destiny" is a Nigerian proverb,  It means that if you don't speak up or express yourself, your destiny or fate will remain sealed.



In essence, when you Keep quiet or hide your thoughts and desires at times, this can prevent opportunities and progress from coming your way. 



When you have a great plan for what you intend to do in your career, academics, business, family or ministry, you never know if the fellow standing right next to you has it all to do just that for you. You often hear people say; 'telling people about your plans and ideas would make it possible for those plans and ideas to be futile' oh dear! That is not entirely true. 

Now don't get me wrong, I don't ask you to take up a mic and go on the busy street of Lagos announcing to the world every goal and plans for your life. Now that is very wrong and it is not the point I am relating here at all. 

Now take a deep breath and read;

What I am saying here is THIS - Your own fate of being lifted might be only when you share some plans with certain people who eventually have the capacity or ability or have the human connections with people who would in turn be of great help to you! 

Sometimes you just gotta not shut up! 

Sometimes you just gotta speak out!

Sometimes you just gotta let people know what's going on!

Sometimes you just gotta cry out if you need to!

Sometimes you just gotta confide in someone on those plans!

Sometimes not shutting up is what saves you!

This should not be confused with 'exposing your plans'. Not everyone should know what you have in mind, oh dear, it is none of their business! You wouldn't want to turn into a speaker and pronounce your goals to every ear that cares to listen, that would probably only jeopardize your goals or plans in life.

This note is to you who has little ideas on where to go, this note is to you who has no idea where to go, this note is to you who has the idea where to go but has no drive for the journey.

By speaking up, you can unlock new possibilities and shape your destiny. It could come in the form of an advice, a suggestion, a 'i know someone who could help you out, and even a 'allow me introduce you to someone' but you would never take benefit of that if you believe you have to shut up at all times! Lot of times silence can limit one's potential, while speaking out can lead to growth, success, and a fulfilled destiny!
