Helen has been attending many promotional activities for her new movie, the Dawn of Time. With so much to do, she has not had the chance to spend enough time with her 9-year-old daughter Anne.

Anne had noticed the tiredness in her mom's face when she arrived late in the evening.

She ran down the staircase to hug her mother.

Helen bent down to pick her up, hugging her tightly in her hands. She felt relieved and a sense of calm from hugging her daughter, which meant she was home.

"How are you?" asked Helen. She couldn't help but feel guilty about the time she had not spent with her daughter.

They both walked to the kitchen.

"Mom, I am okay; I prepared noodles for you, "Anne explained, trying to show her mother that she could take care of her mother.

A phone ringing disrupts the peace and harmony of the mother-child.

Helen stared down at the phone ringing in her glittering bag. Seeing the caller, she furrowed her head in annoyance.

She picked up, "Hello", with anger in her voice, "You do realize that when I am home, you shouldn't call me for anything work-related unless it's an emergency?

The assistant trembled after hearing Helen's voice.

She didn't want to call Helen to disturb her peace, but Helen's manager had made her do so. "I am sorry, but the manager told me to inform you about an event coming up this weekend for you to attend. He said he has accepted on your behalf. I have sent the details of the event to your mail" Her voice trembled lightly; she didn't want to be sandwiched between Helen and her manager.

Listening to everything the assistant had to say, she felt annoyed.

The weekend was an excellent time to spend with her daughter to make up for the times she had not been around, and now there is another event.

With a defeated expression on her face, she hung up.

Anne observed the interaction between her mother and the assistant and felt terrible for her mother.

She was not angry that her mother would not have the chance to spend time with her.

She made up her mind to do something special for her.

Not only that, but she wanted to put a smile on her mom's face. She took the noodles from the microwave and placed them on the table, "Mom, why don't you have a taste? Tell me if you like it; if you do, I will prepare more."

A smile appeared on Helen's face. Her daughter should be complaining, but she is considerate of her, making Helen feel more guilty.

Seeing the guilt that flickered in her mother's eyes, Anne made a bag for her mother to attend the event. However, she suddenly felt it might be a bad idea. She can't help but worry about what the Media will propagate about her mother wearing a bag of unknown origin.

What's the worst that could happen? I am going to make it and surprise mummy.

Seeing her mom so busy, Anne wanted to do something special for her mother. She began to think of anything lovely that would make her mother happy.

The following day, Helen woke up before dawn to make breakfast for her daughter. To make it a bit creative, she used avocado to make a Shrek face to surprise her daughter.

Going in and out of the kitchen, she smiles as she hears the sound of footsteps coming through the staircase. "Good morning, Mom, I dreamed of you winning the biggest award in the movie industry", Anne smiled widely, "Oh, then how long will it be before I get this award?"

"Mom, I am not certain, but I am sure you will win it, and I will brag to my friends that my mom is the best actor in the world, "Anne said with so much sparkle in her eyes.

A few minutes later, Anne was prepared for school and waved goodbye to her mom as she entered the school bus.

Seated in the back seat of the bus, she began to ponder the type of bag to make for her mom to attend the event this weekend.

She had an idea of doing a clutch purse, meaning she had to prepare the materials.

At school, she asked her art teacher for the materials needed to make a homemade clutch purse.

Mrs Brown answered every one of her questions and even invited Anne to her art lab to be inspired by the other purses made by her students. Seeing all the beautiful purses arranged in different colours, Anne knew instantly the kind of purse to make for her mother.

With this, she became so busy she forgot to eat. When Helen returned from the studio, she realised her daughter had been busy in her room. Anne heard a knock; quickly, she hid everything about the purse and materials under her bed. This is supposed to surprise her mother, " Mom, you can come in."

Helen opened the door, staring at her daughter, who was breathing heavily; she walked fast to touch her head. "Darling, are you feeling okay?

Why are you breathing so fast?"

"Mom, it's a secret. I want to make something for you, but you are not allowed to see it until it's done."

Helen raised a brow in surprise, alright, I can't wait to see what you have for me," she said with expectations in her voice. With her heart thumping fast, Helen felt so happy that her daughter was making something for her, "When is this gift going to be ready?" Helen couldn't wait for it.

"Not going to say anything, Mom, you just have to be patient".

On the day of the event, they arrived. Helen was all glammed up for the event. Suddenly, the person who was supposed to bring the purse for Helen's event needed to arrive on time.

Helen was beginning to feel upset.

"How long is it going to take her?"

She ordered her assistant to call her number again, and like before, the phone said, "The number you are calling is not reachable".

Anne felt the universe was making this happen for her sake. With the gift wrapped in her hand, she walked up to her mother, "Mom, here is your surprise", with a slight tremble in her voice. Her mind raced with so many thoughts that Mummy might not like my gift. Helen glanced at her daughter; she smiled faintly. Unwrapped the wrapper, she saw a beautiful glittering pink purse that perfectly matched her gown. She opened my mouth in shock, "Baby, you made this for me?" Helen could not believe it, her daughter was so talented and skillful, when did she learn all this?

Helen was reminded of the times her daughter said she was busy.

Anne, not hearing her mom's praise, began to feel scared. She raised her head, expecting to see the disappointment in her mother's eyes. She was held tightly by her mom, and she had many kisses on her face. His mouth widened in a smile. Mummy was happy; she felt relieved.

On the event's red carpet, Helen walked down and held the clutch purse in her hand. Camera flashes, reporters trying to get Helen's attention, "Who made that purse?" this was the question in everyone's mind. It went perfectly with the painting and the dress Helen wore. A reporter, with his crew, walked to Helen for an interview.

"My goodness, Helen, you look so beautiful."

With a smile, Helen replied, "Thank you".

"Ever since you graced us with your presence, the question at the back of every lip is who made that purse? Who is the designer?

With the most beautiful motherly smile ever," My daughter, she made this for me."

Someone sabotaged my getting the purse I was supposed to bring, and my daughter gifted me this. It is made with materials she sourced and recycled from her school art lab."

With a look of disbelief, the reporter was finding it difficult to believe that a 9-year-old girl could create such an amazing art with cheap materials. If Helen had not said anything, people would believe this purse was made by a top designer in the industry.

Helen walked down the red carpet and into the event. Searing for her number seat, a bright smile appeared on her face when she noticed she got a front seat. So many top surrounded her, asking her who designed her bag. Helen was so happy, she informed them that it was her daughter, but no one was willing to believe her.
