Damilare,
It's always been push and pull with us. Every time we argue, you ignore my calls and messages for days, spending nights with your work 'friends' and posting streaks.
You lock our apartment up, and tell me to stay with Somto. Imagine me going to your sister's house by two in the morning , because I refused to pound yam. Do you even care that I stayed up all night taking care of our two-month old?
When I stop chasing, you send paragraphs of how you needed space. You wanted me to feel how angry you were, even though it meant not being able to change your son's clothes for days.
You love-bomb me with chocolates and promise we can get through this, but do you really think that will work again? Well, Damilare, I'm tired of holding on to you.
By the time you get this letter, I'll be out of Nigeria and I hope you never get the peace you always abandoned me for.
