Jenny's moment of solitude was interrupted by the sound of shuffling feet. She quickly looked around and saw a small figure approaching.

"Jenny, mama is calling you," her little brother said, then scurried away. Jenny stood up from her desk in front of her laptop and slowly made her way to her mother's room. She felt sluggish, as if weighed down by something.. It felt like her world was falling apart, and she needed money for her mother's treatment. It seemed like everyone had abandoned her.

"Arinze came here yesterday when you were—"

Jenny interrupted. "Mama, how many times do I have to say that I'm not getting married now?" Jenny hated seeing the hurt in her mother's eyes. Arinze had been pursuing her relentlessly. His attempts to win her over grated on her nerves.

"He gave us some money and was hoping to see you—"

Jenny's mother's voice faded away as she hurriedly left the room. She couldn't bear to hear any more about him.

Her phone started ringing, interrupting her thoughts. Jenny pulled out her phone and frowned at the unfamiliar number on the screen. "Hello, this is Jenny."

" I have good news, but I can't discuss it over the phone. Can you meet me at Shell Relax and Chill Restaurant? And no, I'm not kidnapping you. It's about your photography."

Jenny looked at the young man in front of her. He was flipping through files in his bag. Then, he looked up and grinned.

"I'm Martins. I'm an artist. Your nature photography inspired some of my pieces. I accidentally submitted one of your photos instead of my own artwork for an art contest. P&K Company, the sponsor of the contest, contacted me privately and said they want to work with the owner of the photo I submitted. Please sign here. Don't say no."

Jenny took a deep breath, hoping that this wasn't a hallucination. P&K wanted to work with her? This was big news. Jenny signed the documents. Hopefully, her mother's illness could be treated now, and maybe she would finally stop talking about marriage.
