She sat in her own little corner and though no one noticed, she was deep in thought. “Am I worth anything, really?” “ Can I even do anything that pleases her?” “ Why is she just too tough and unresponsive to whatever I try to do?” All I do is never enough, she thought.This was something she was used to but her heart pulled further away from her with each bad comment made towards her. She had only made one mistake in her life; loving too much at an early age.

Mother made it her mission to crucify her everyday and every chance she got; the one person a daughter can rely on yet so ruthless. She was unforgiving and openly showed her distaste or was it disgust. The girl had tried her ultimate best to mend the relationship; all she got though was a cold stare and a door slammed in her face. What is it she had to do to feel at peace and loved by her mother? She was lost and no longer had options.She didn’t want to try anymore, she didn’t want approval anymore.

She was tired of trying too hard to be loved by her own blood. She was done and she was beginning to believe that being a loner would work best for her. She did not want to interfere in anyone’s life anymore. She just wanted things to fall into place without fuss. Why did it seem like the universe had abandoned her for other people? Why did she feel so alone with no one to embrace her during her emotional trains? Was she imagining all the hate towards her? What happened to boosting her confidence and zeal without necessarily trampling on the little esteem she had left? She could be a firework if she was properly ignited from the inside but she was wet and cold in there and no flame could be lit by her disposition. A cold, lifeless human ;a zombie, a walking dead member.

She was never good enough at anything; everyone in her house labeled her an embarrassment. No credit was ever given to her for trying constantly. They had broken her beyond repair; who would be her saving grace? Who would love her for her and ultimately change her life’s trajectory? A mystery; one that fate would need to help her solve.
