I saw Sola yesterday

She smiled at me

But there was no life in her eyes

They have stolen from Sola.

My Sola; Always so full of light and Life.

She tried to mask her pain

She tried to laugh but it was hollow and empty.

The light had gone out of Sola.

I held Sola in my arms and wept

We wept for the should've been

We wept for what had been stolen,

My Sola is broken and I can't fix it.

Sola is a strong girl

Always has been

Always will be

She will get through this

We know Sola will be fine

But she will never be the same again

She knows this, 

I know this.

We weep for Sola 

Our hearts fill and overflow with Grief

The thief has stolen Sola's light.

They took all from her and left her empty.

Sola wipes her tears and smiles at me

Sola may be broken

But I know deep within me

Sola will find her pieces.

She whispers to me

"My Scar is a badge of Strength"

The Thief may have stolen

But Sola will find herself again.

I look in Sola's eyes

I see a flicker of hope

It's a tiny flicker

But I promise to fan it into flames.
