All Hail the village goddess,

All time Sparkling and Spotless,

Pride of kinsmen ,

Pillar of the Thirsty .

Decade upon decade you remained

unchanged,

Daily you flow and never waterless.

Though your hill is threaded in horror,

your drop is as precious as Gold.

Amid your peers, O goddess you are the Icon.

At your sneeze, all streams freeze .

Beyond the kindred you are an Idol.

Before you, thirsty throats prostrate.

Crowded they come and in

clusters you quench their thirst.

As an infant I dread your valley

And your hills forever a nightmare.

O Maker how precious are your deeds
