A beautiful people, spread across the Benue and Niger,

Joined by the unfortunate events of 1914,

A union waxing strong amidst turmoils, travails and devastations,

The continuing struggle for progress and togetherness,

A people bold as the eagle; agile like the horse.

A nation productive like the greens that spreads across the Savannahs and rain forests of Boki and Jos.

The industries of Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Uyo and Kogi

Burning with a desire to be a people, one grown for 60 years and more,

Fueled by the love that flows like the oil from the Niger and Milk from the North.

Keeping her together as one.

Her unity in diversity, not devoid of sour experiences,

From her struggle for freedom and independence 63 years ago,

To the sadness that culminated in a civil war caused by love of tribe and tongue,

Not forgetting her successful quest for a democratic republic won in 1999.

She has thrived in even worse situations,

Moving forward in love and positivity.

Her present cause to end terrorism and unprovoked violence ever steady and progressive.

Fired on by the bullets, sweat and blood of our gallant infantry men,

She's a nation that bleeds, cries and celebrates together.

Together as one.

She flourises like the trade in Alaba, Onitsha, Watt and even Aba.

Her beauty transcends beyond the majestic structures of Banana Island, Asokoro, Awka or Peter Odili.

A stroll across the cities of Calabar, Owerri, Jos and Kano,

Tells you she's a tourist favourite for her alluring beauty and charm.

The rocks in Aso, Abeokuta, Osun and Plateau are a travelers delight.

Her love and dedication to agriculture feeds the hunger of her ever growing population.

She's famous around the globe for her rich Leather and skin.

Her ever growing movie and music industry makes her an entertainment hub.

Little wonder the world is looking to partner with her to create new frontiers

Her arms ever open to new horizons and innovations,

She's on the rise, moving together as one.

She keeps growing taller and stronger,

Today she's twice as tall.

A feat achieved by the ever moving feet of her people and the sacrifices of our heroes past

Poised to put her on the map like the goal from Oliseh in 94.

A dream made alive by the Nigerian team.

Scoring, winning, achieving, success.

She's older and wiser, but not for her age,

But for the strength of the union called Nigeria.

Strengthened by tongue, blood, history and the Nigerian dream.

The green white green,

An umbrella providing cover for Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa et all.

Strung together by the stripes of love and tolerance,

A shelter from hate, violence, slavery and poverty.

All flying high on the wings of the eagle.

For we have chosen to stay together as we march forward,

A pledge sealed with blood and soul.

Galloping over our hurdles as one big nation under God.

For in love, unity, peace and progress, we make our bed,

And lay together in bliss as we bring our dreams to life.

Together as one.
