There's a tale of a man

A sad tale if I might add

But then what is your definition of sadness

How does one describe or put into words such a hollow and empty emotion?

Back to my story ,

A tale of a man who had everything and nothing

Did I say had? My bad

A man who has everything and nothing

Let's call him John

Young John was a cheerful and powerful young lad , always around the ladies

Bright blue eyes that glowed like the sky

He was magnificent

You may wonder ,what's so special about John

Well, he's immortal if that counts for anything

He's strong and powerful, not so powerful now but we'll come to that later

John was powerful so powerful that the gods had to decide what to do with him

How can someone so strong be so free?

It's unnerving I know

They had to come up with something

And so the elder gods in all their glory called a meeting all because of a puny boy , they left their thrones and palaces because of John

An important lad he is .

Now , I know you're eager to find out what makes this tale so sad , I'm getting to that.

You see John had made a mistake

He'd decided that he didn't need to listen to any God he was a god therefore he deserved worship.

Saying this is one thing and believing it is another

Young John as I obviously love to call him said this to the elder gods and his punishment was decided.

He was to be throw into the sea of blood , the bottomless sea of blood .

John didn't mind being condemed to death , infact he craved it , he was tired of living with beings way below his status.

As you'd expect he was thrown into the sea but John forgot one thing, what the gods didn't give they cannot take , so he was still very immortal he would die and live again and again and again

Caught in the vacuum between life and death he was nothing and would remain so .

This is a tale of a man

A sad tale if I might add

He is John

He lives among us

Bright blue eyed and not so magnificent anymore

A god he still remains.
