I have seen the future. Yes I dare say so

I bet all I have that it will happen, if I do or do not say so

You can fight my words all you want

But it’s certain that one day you will surely die

Oh sorry doubting Thomas did I kill your smile?

I have seen the future. Yet no one believes

Those who care to listen wait to hear what happens to the world

Very few think about the certainty of their own demise

We all fight to gather what we’ll never truly keep

Oh sorry greedy Oliver, did I kill your appetite?

I have seen the future o mighty man

Not the one where you become king of all the earth

You being the richest comes and goes as fast as yesterday

What I see is the worms eating your wealthy flesh

Oh powerful one, did I kill your pride?

I have seen the future belle Mademoiselle

It stabs as hard as the horns of a gazelle

It’s beyond the one where men flock to drink from your cup

Or the one where the fount of youth can no longer be scooped

It’s the one where your bed is a box of wood

Did I break your heels oh magestic goddess?

I have seen the future of the young and agile

It’s beyond your wins and champion strides

That you will gain wisdom or loose sanity is not within my knowing

I just know for certain that like all humans before you, you will someday have no use for breath

Did I kill your hopes oh restless warrior?

I have seen the future. The one where all men at some point become nothing
