Have you heard of the phrase "make hay while the sun shines"? Yes, it may sound childish, as adults often prefer to say, "don't procrastinate." There is a subtle transition between childhood and adulthood, that moment when you were allowed to do whatever you wanted with little reprimanding until puberty stole away the joy of being in the comforting world of Tom and Jerry. You wake up every morning to the sound of the alarm, and your day is filled with a lot of work. When I say work, I don't mean the necessary chores at home; I mean the tasks at the office. Your name resonates throughout your workplace all day long. You serve as a janitor, an errand boy, and, finally, a secretary, all for meager pay. When you finish work, you usually tiptoe to your front door, praying to the Holy Ghost not to encounter your landlord. You're drowning in debt, yet you can't stop working, the same job you do every day that can't cover your bills. Now, have you seen why it's important to "make hay while the sun shines"? If you had remained in your childhood without growing up, perhaps you'd still be holding a baby feeder to your mouth, with your eyes glued to the TV, watching Tom and Jerry. Adulthood is a scam!
