An Ode to my past self

Oh, past self, how far we've come,

Through trials and struggles, we've overcome.

Though I can't go back to those bygone days,

I still remember you in so many ways.

I see you as a child, with curious eyes,

Full of wonder and endless surprise.

You had no fear of the unknown,

And your heart was pure and unconditionally shown.

As a teenager, you were full of angst,

Trying to navigate through the haze and the trance.

You felt like the world was against you,

But you still pushed through, and that's something to view.

You were brave, you were bold,

A young adult, so eager to unfold.

You took risks and made mistakes,

But you also learned from them and made progress at stakes.

Oh, past self, how much you've grown,

Through ups and downs, you've shown.

You've weathered storms and come out strong,

And now I stand here, where you belong.

I am grateful for all you've been,

For the person you were, and the person you've seen.

You've taught me to be resilient and bold,

To take on challenges with a heart that's gold.

So here's to you, past self of mine,

Thank you for all you've left behind.

I'll carry your spirit in my heart,

As I continue on this journey, which is yet to start.
